Hans G. Bathija is the Chairman of International IP Commercialization Council Greater Toronto Area Chapter. He has over 20+ year’s international experience leading and advising on complex & innovative initiatives for governments, Fortune 500's and SME's. Initiatives include regulatory & compliance, business re-engineering, mergers & acquisitions, digital media and digital transformation. Industry experience includes information technology, financial services, healthcare, education, energy, academia & digital production.
Hans is a Partner with Shadow Factory, a B2B digital media & immersive technology company. Hans graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Glendon College, York University in Toronto, Canada. Originally from London, United Kingdom, he now resides in Toronto, Canada where serves on the boards of the British Canadian Chamber of Trade & Commerce, the Malaysian Association of Canada, St John Ambulance Toronto Branch, Toronto Police Service 14 Division Community Police Liaison Committee, Arts Society of Greater Toronto & Health Span Hawaii Summit. He is also a Foreign Student Liaison with the Canadian Forces College.
Dr. Ramesh RAJADURAY
Ramesh Rajaduray is a co-founder and vice chair of IIPCC GTA. He is an accomplished IP and technology professional with 10+ years of experience in providing intellectual property services. In his consulting and in-house roles, he has advised and assisted C-level executives in patent matters and worked in a technical consulting capacity with external counsel and patent agents in both North America and Europe. He has assisted in implementing IP strategy for companies of various sizes, as well as working with third party service providers in performing services such as patentability searches, patent drafting and prosecution, IP litigation, IP licensing, and patent acquisition.
He also worked in optical network research in collaboration with organizations such as Intel Corporation, United States Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), JDS Uniphase, Cisco Systems and Stanford University.
Dr. Rajaduray received his Masters of Science and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California Santa Barbara; and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with 1st Class Honours, and a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Accounting and Finance from the University of Western Australia.
Mr. James SHEN
IIPCC GTA Board Member
James has extensive experiences in investing, capital raising, and profit and loss responsibilities in high-tech, consulting industries across aerospace, semiconductor, biotech, SaaS, mining and governmental sectors in Canada, U.S, Pacific Rim, Middle East and North Africa countries. He has also had senior executive and leadership roles in CEO and Board of Directors capacities.
Mr. Claudiu Popa
IIPCC GTA Board Member
Mr. Popa is a recognized thought leader, published author, educator, entrepreneur and media contributor on data protection, compliance and information security, with over 20 years of global experience in security auditing, international standards and board-level risk advisory. He is CEO of Informatica Corporation and president of Datarisk Canada, as well as co-founder and chairman of KnowledgeFlow Cybersafety Foundation, a leading Canadian nonprofit organization with the unique objective of empowering young people, through public/private/academic partnerships, with insight, skills and tools necessary to thrive today and in the future.
Mr. Popa has authored several books on data privacy and security. He is a certified information privacy professional (CIPP); certified information systems auditor (CISA); certified information systems security professional (CISSP); certified risk management professional (CRMP); certified risk and information systems control (CRISC); project management professional (PMP). As a certified professional, he remains an ardent champion of information security and a trusted corporate coach to Canadian organizations passionate about improving their security and protecting their customers.

A dynamic, motivated, and value-driven relationship builder, Adam works his socks off every day to deliver a client experience like no other. With more than 10 years' international experience in the private and not-for-profit sectors, Adam combines curiosity, creativity, superlative communication skills, and an absolute commitment to exceeding expectations, to surprise and delight colleagues and clients alike. Enjoys answering questions over coffee and cake.
Mr. Iain MONTGOMERY

Iain has spent the past decade helping established organizations identify, design and launch the breakthrough new propositions critical for their long term futures. Iain previously established Market Gravity in North America, and has helped big companies across Canada, the US, UK and a few other places along the way better understand their customers and create bold new ideas to get into market. He’s helped lotteries across Canada become more relevant to millennials, designed multiple digital financial services platforms, launched an instant coffee brand, had a hand in Air Canada’s new loyalty program, built cultures of innovation in energy companies and created future visions in industries as diverse as public transit, healthcare and retail.
Iain’s not afraid to speak his mind and try something different in pursuit of the audacious idea. With that experience of what has, hasn't and might still work, Iain founded Now or Never to do things differently.
Mr. Fred WU
M. Fred Wu is a litigation and intellectual property lawyer, providing tailored solutions to clients operating across various sectors. Fred’s experience stems from his work at top Canadian and UK boutiques, as well as large national and multinational full-service firms. Skilled in commercial dispute resolution, he has acted for leading businesses in matters before the Federal Court, Federal Court of Appeal, and Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Fred combines his technical acumen, legal expertise, and creative problem-solving in his law practice.
